Carlin currently works as the project manager at Onyx Creative Group, Inc. overseeing the production of websites, brochures, television commercials, marketing plans, and much more. He works as a hub for clients, vendors, and staff facilitating communication and ensuring that projects are completed accurately and on time. He has several years of experience in publishing as a project manager and coordinator working previously for the magazine industry and an academic publication coordinator.

In addition to Carlin’s extensive experience in print, he has also produced television commercials, promotional videos, video blogs, and audio podcasts. Carlin has also played vital roles in his previous organizations by overseeing initiatives to bolster the implementation of new technologies in order to both enhance and streamline accounting, sales, and traffic data collection.

While involved with these initiatives, he became inspired to pursue his Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University. His projects included completion of preliminary mobile application design, thorough usability analysis of learning management systems, and development of web-based applications. While earning his Master’s degree, Carlin also earned a Graduate Certificate in Information Architecture.

Carlin lives in Tallahassee with his wife and two children. In his free time, he produces content for the Nerd Lunch blog and podcast.
